MARCH DEPOT

Ahh, those heady days of the '80's! Who didn't go round March Depot? It must have been about the easiest depot in Britain. And one of the most interesting too. All sorts of rare migratory birdsw used to stop over for food and water and it was also a favourite halt on the path to the great scrapyard in the sky. Happy days. There is very little left of it now even though a new depot was supposed to rise phoenix-like from the ashes of the old under Stage 2 of the Whitemoor Yard Development Plan. However, it now looks as though Stage 2 may never happen.
